X-point introduced an advanced system based on the NFC technology to manage boats and spares, to prevent failures and problems during the races.
The system is based on the I-Rig technology.

I-Rig is an advanced RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) technology based system, which purpose is the automatic data collection.
Components and rig equipment are equipped with special microchip TAGS that, beside make possible the univocal identification of every component, allows their  link with a certain number of information (serial number, manufacturer, type, property, lot of production, data of production, etc.)
A kit of special readers/antennas or common devices like the last version of smart phone has the capability to recognize the microchip TAGS just in time and connecting and linking the specific information at the present condition of utilization (wind, angle, temperature, etc.) through a specific software interfaced with the onboard instrumentation  and devices or manually add  informations. All the info collected locally are switched in a central Data Base to be visible and sharable if requested.

 

Weflex has equipped the Laser  boats chartered by Xpoint in the main event of the Laser Class with the I-Rig Management platform
